History

The club was started 14 years ago as a National league club. The club has gone through several changes over the past few years. The name has changed from Devizes Demons to Wiltshire Demons then to Wiltshire Girls basketball club. Now we have reverted back to the name Wiltshire Demons as we are back doing National league and a Saturday club.
We started off with 30 girls playing in either U14 or U16 National league from around Wiltshire.
Since then they have moved on we are trying to bring a new generation of girls up through the ranks. Either to play for the National league side, Wiltshire County or may have the chance to train for South West Squads.

We have had the privilege of working with some very talented girls that have moved onto either a new team or been selected for APC (now known as RPC), South West Regional Squads or even the England Development squad.

We also run the Girls County Squad for a yearly Inter Southwest regional Tournament which is opened to all girls from around Wiltshire.
This could lead to selection to u15 Regionals.
Each girl is looked after and their skills enhanced.

We now have expanded the club to include boys once again in 2014.
Also in Sept 2013 we started an Adult session on a Thursday night. [We have now stopped adults due to small numbers]
